I was born in East Los Angeles to a family of Catholic Mexican parents and 4 siblings. Thankfully, my father, as a hardworking butcher and grocery store owner, put us all through 12 years of Catholic school. After moving 10 years ago with my husband to Orange County, we found beautiful Catholic parishioners and soon friends at Our Lady of Fatima parish, in San Clemente. While serving as a Catechist, Lector and Sacristan, I found myself working alongside my dear friend, Gerry Gerken, at Our Lady of Fatima parish. May God rest her dear soul🙏🏼. Through Gerry, I found the ODCCW as another great way to serve our Church and the women in our Diocese. I am truly grateful to God for allowing me another 2 years to serve as a Board member of the ODCCW.
