Fr. Christopher Heath is the oldest of four boys, born in November 1961 to Ned and Bonnie Heath (both deceased). He lived mostly in Orange County, attending public school through 10th grade where he attended El Modena High School. His home parish is Holy Family in Orange, and when the Diocese was founded in 1976, he entered Queen of Angels Minor Seminary in San Fernando. He graduated from the High School Seminary in 1979, then attended St. John’s Seminary College and St. John’s Major Seminary in Camarillo.
Fr. Chris was ordained October 1, 1988. He has been a priest for 36 years. He was assigned to several parishes as a Parochial Vicar, and Pastor of La Purisima in Orange and St. Hedwig in Los Alamitos. In 2021, Fr. Chris was assigned as the second Archivist of the Diocese of Orange and currently lives at St. John Neumann Church in Irvine where he helps on weekends.
Fr. Chris was a law enforcement chaplain for several agencies for 20 years. He loves celebrating Mass and hearing Confessions. He enjoys reading and writing. He often leads pilgrimages to the Holy Land and other countries.
